Default does a little wt loss help with normal wt pcos?

I'm 5'5" and 140, just dx with PCOS last week. no hx of IR. I've had ovuatory problems for years and conceived #1 3 yrs ago on clomid 50mg. now ttc #2 for 12 months, clomid 3 cycles, no O. I gained 60 lbs with 1st pregnancy, and finally lost almost all of it by a few months ago. Was wondering if I might respond better to clomid if I lost 5 more lbs. no fancy diet in mind, just the standard eat less, exercise more. anyone tried this? The only recommendations I saw in literature were for wt loss for overweight pcos, no mention for nl weight.

I'm wondering the same thing. I don't have any children yet..still ttc (well trying to actually hold on to the baby). But I'm wondering if I lose weight will it help me with ttc again. I am 5'7" and 156 pounds. I would like to get back to 150, but not sure if I should be losing if ttc??? Not sure???

I still haven't found any useful information, but I've decided to take a cycle off clomid and try to lose weight and exercise. This is the best motivation I've had in a long time to try to improve my health. I just hope it doesn't make things worse. I figure that since I was about 5 lbs lighter and much fitter when I conceived last time, trying to get back to that state might be a good idea.

I have always wondered the same thing. I lost weight on Metformin, not trying. I am a thin cyster and probably shouldn't lose anymore weight, so I don't know whether to start exercising. I read that it helps sometimes. My RE never really said much to me about having POCS besides starting the Metformin.

I asked my doctor about this and she said she would only recommend weight loss for someone who was already overweight.
