Points: 508.65 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 508.65 | Does this mean Met is working? I have been on 1000mg/day of Met for 8 weeks now. I got my first period 30 days after taking it but I don't think I have ovulated yet (I'm on day 28 now) as my temps are all over the place and I haven't noticed any major difference in my CM. Does this mean Met is working if it brought on a period? Is it worth sticking to or would I require a higher dose to ovulate? I see my ob/gyn next week to review the Met effect. I am not overweight so that is why my doctor only gave me 1000mg/day. All your thoughts are appreciated =) |

I'm on 2000mg/day, but I'm about 40lbs overweight right now...

It's all a waiting game I suppose. Honestly, 1000mg seems okay, but if you don't see the results you are looking for, see if your doctor will kick it up to 1500.

Although...I've been reading around and it seems as though most women have had success! That is such a mood lifter for me!!!!
Maybe it will take several months, but won't the wait be worth it? I just look at it as more time to get everything in order so that I can have a healthy pregnancy!!!
Hang in there!!!

I was really concerned because nothing else had changed and bam really long cycles. He said (and I read research that said the same) even the average woman has wonky cycles now and again and that the met was still working. Sure enough, I'm regular again.

It makes me giggle!) as all get out! I haven't ever had a normal period...I started when I was 12. Today is CD44 and still now sign of AF. I've only been taking Met for close to 2 months and I'm sure it takes a few or more months to get things back in order. I guess I'm just impatient. lol I'm just so ready to get everything in order.
The only thing that I've noticed that the Met has helped with are my headaches (I used to get really bad headaches...not quite migranes but close!) and hot flashes! ...Yes, I said HOT FLASHES and yes, I'm only 22! Crazy...I know! But, with those two things I'm doing a lot better.
Am I rambling?
