I bumped up to 1000 mg on Tuesday and I have just been feeling run down. I am so fatigued all the time. I don't know if it's coincidence or not. But I get at least 8 hrs of sleep at night. And I've been taking naps too.
Do the s/e go away after awhile? I'm lucky not to have diarrhea or vomiting, but I do have low-level nausea all the time. It's hard for me to eat (but I'm already thin, so I don't want to lose a lot of weight).

It could be low blood sugar...it could also be a bitamin B12 deficiency/ met can block the absorption of B12 which is a key ebergy vitamin. So make sure you take a good high potency supplement with B12 and calcium...it made SUCH a huge difference for me.
God luck!

I too have been feeling completely exhausted while on Met. I am currently taking 2,000 mg of Met daily, along with 60 mg daily of Prozac, and Yaz BCP.
I was fine for the first few weeks on Met, but once I got up to my current dose, I have been tired all the time. I sleep 9+ hours each night and still feel like I could nap all day. For the past month or so, I've been going to bed between 7 - 8 pm!!!
And not only that, but I don't have the energy to do anything except sit around, eat, and sleep. (And I sit at work all day too!) Just looking at my dishes that need to be washed makes me tired! LOL.
However, like you, I've been lucky to not have so many met side effects. I occassionally have "the runs" but not often enough to bother me, and the occasional nausea feeling. But to my amazement, I've steadily been losing weight.
I think there's a high possibility that there is a vitamin B12 deficiency going on. I think I'm going to pick up some vitamins this evening and see if it helps in the coming weeks. I'll keep everyone posted!

I haven't been very faithful with my vitamins lately. I do have a B-complex supplement though. I just need to get back in the habit of taking it. I hope that helps, cuz I'm tired of being tired all the time! I don't remember this happening last time but I think I was being really good about vitamins back then cuz I was TTC.

I'm on 2000mg, take a B Complex (two pills a day, on top of my prenatal), and I am pretty tired....but that could be the hsing, and having dc under age 6.
I've been taking my vitamins, but still feel really run down. I feel terrible if I haven't eaten in awhile, but the thought of eating anything sometimes grosses me out. I really hope this gets better.
Last time I had no s/e at all. It was like I wasn't even taking medication. How could that be? What's so different this time?
