Default Does Met make your poo smell raunchy?

I wonder if that is a side effect. It's always runny and sometimes smells just gawd awful!!!

Is that a dangerous side effect or anything?? Does this happen to you??

LOL...Is there anything we can do to make it so uncomfortable? I've noticed that it's worse when I eat sweet things...especially if I eat ice cream on an empty stomach. It hasn't been so bad lately, but in the past when I was on 2000mg...it was horrible!!

I can't believe that I even brought this up...LOL

Yeah, I don't think there's much you can do. Maybe try the Met early in the am and at night? Try not to take it with the ice cream or close to?

I tried Met a few months back and then stopped taking it. I'm just starting it again and I still have the nasty side effects. It completely wipes me out because I'm in the bathroom like 5 times a day, probably dehydrated now.

But yeah, SO stinky.

I am only a month or so in with taking the Met, but the first few weeks were the worst!

I'm on week three and I have such horrible diarrhea and it smells so bad I went out and bought an automatic air freshener that sprays every time I go to the bathroom. It smelled so bad I was getting sick from it! And the last thing I need is puking on top of pooping!

Hahaha I have been fortunate in that I didn't have the runs but once or twice since i have been on it. Only three weeks now but I will have to admit the bathroom fan takes a beating whenever I visit! I am on a strict diet and I think that is why I was fortunate enough to not have terrible indigestion. however, when I do eat sweets or pizza-like food I definitely pay the price!

I just spoke with my doctor about the non-stop pooping issues and Met. She told me that If I am experiencing belly and intestinal issues then I am eating the wrong foods. She told me to get the South Beach Diet book and to stick with it. So, eat good carbs, lean meat, and veggies, stay away from highly processed easily digested foods.

Yeah I think it has to do with what we eat. We need to be eating healthy food and less carbs.

I started my 500 mg 11/19 Went to 1000 11/24 and now the 1500 mg 12/1 So its only been a little over 2 weeks!
I think I have finally adjusted somewhat. That 1st week was disasterous! 16 of us in my office share 1 bathroom! I will leave it at that! haha

I need to start the lower carb thing. I need to read up more on it though. When I have lost weight in the past it was always on Weight Watchers, which my Dr. said is okay as long as I am still watching my carbs.

Ugh, eating healthier is a HUGE task for me. I've been trying, but it's gets difficult now that I spend hours in school and all of my other time at home. And being broke doesn't help lol.

I've been trying to switch a lot of my grains to whole and eating more frozen veggies, though.

How ridiculous is it that it costs us more to eat healthy!

thats what i'm saying it costs more to eat healthy than to eat junk food. thats just messed up completely. I am sticking with it. its worth it if it means i can have a better chance of getting pregnant. oh and i didn't have such a bad time with the runs but the uhhh gas was just overwhelmingly deadly lol!
