Question Does it really matter??

I have a drs appt this tuesday. I am having my annual pap smear and requesting metformin, demulen bc pills, and provera. I haven't had a period since November :X

Does Met XR really work better? I mean with less side effects? If I can tolerate reg metformin, which I did in the past, should I just go with that???

I'm taking Met ER and I've not had hardly any side effects. I like the ER because it's timed released so I don't have to worry about taking a pill at every meal which I used to forget all the time. Everyone's different though when it comes to which type... Met or Glug./ regular or timed released.

Good Luck!!

I started taking Metformin Jan 03 and had horrible side effects, they got a little better with the IR diet. Last August I switched to Metformin ER, the side effects have pretty much completely gone away. Now I only have problems when I have eaten way too many carbs.
