I went to see the GYN.....who gave me 10 days worth of Provera and BCP's to start on. I took all the Provera, and still no period!!!! I am seriously really frustrated now......
Did your dr speculate about your pain? Or just gave you pills and sent you on your way?

Brooke, I always had to take more provera then average, and wait longer then average for af to show up. I HATE provera - with a passion, it really gave me af from hell and the s/e while on it were equally unpleasant.
Hopefully it's just a matter of time and af will show up soon.

I hope so too...the dr I have been seeing is not my normal GYN. I don't have health insurance and can't afford to see her. My health insurance kicks in in December. So, the dr I have been seeing pretty much just gave me Provera and BCP and sent me on my way. When I called to say I took the Provera and nothing happened, I was told to start the BCP's on Sunday. I've been dealing with all this crap for years, so a couple more months won't kill me. Once December hits, then I will be able to get some answers. It's just too frustrating sometimes......I'm sure all of you know what I mean =)
Cyster! It sounds like classic endometriosis to me!!! Thank goodness you recognize the signs, though! I had to find a doctor, and tell HIM I had endo. He just laughed at me at first, until we did all the other tests you have to do to rule everything else out. Then he was like, "Well, we can do the surgery, but I want to be sure it's worth it to you. And we may not find anything". I'm thinking - "well, I don't really want to live on VICODIN for the rest of my effing life!!! - YES! SURGERY!!". So we did the lap, and of course, I had endo. I got better immediately, never had to take lupron, and got pg on my first try in 2005 and have a healthy 2 year old turd of a baby boy!
Brookie,
I hope you had some news from your GYN appt. Your symptoms do sound very much like endo. Endo causes irregular periods, so some people can bleed heavily and some hardly at all. The pain can be anytime, not just during your period. My pain is worse about 2 weeks before my period. I also have more pain on my right side. The doctor who did my lap years ago said it was because the endo was located right on the nerves on that side underneath my ovary. Intercourse can be extremely painful at times especially if you also have PCOS. Then you are dealing with ovarian cysts too which can rupture. The only way to acurately diagnose endo is with a laparoscopy. Knowing what you are dealing with makes it somewhat easier to manage.
Brookie, I'm sorry you have to wait until December. How are you feeling now?
I am nearing that time in my cycle that my severe lower back/pelvic pain/rectal bleeding has been starting. I am *very* anxious, scared, nervous...ok, I'm a slight wreck I'm already starting to feel something weird going on in my pelvis, but I'm trying to ignore it.
I was actually in the ER yesterday for upper GI issues (my pariet has worn off), I'm on Nexium now, and so far I have not had any relief. I was given percacet (I was a chicken and only took half a pill in the ER, which did absolutely nothing for me). But I filled the prescription and will take a full pill before bed. So at least I have some pain killers for any severe pain this week. Also, I was talking to the ER doc about my suspected Endo, and told him who I was going to see for it (this week on Thursday, can't wait!), and he called her the "Queen of Endometriosis!" So I am really happy that she has a good reputation for this and I'll be in good hands (again, if it really is Endo!).
