I'm getting the following symptoms and wonder if they could be endo-related. Can anyone help?
sharp, upward moving pains in what feels like the cervix area (random times, not menstrual-related).
painful intercourse - feels achey and pressurey, and sometimes like it's rubbing on a sore spot on the left hand side. I'm not dry.
Cramping after intercourse.
red spotting after intercourse or any insertion (ultrasound etc).
very very painful pap smear attempt - she could insert the speculum but once she tried to open it it felt like I was being attacked with a butcher's knife on the left hand side.
very irregular, heavy and long-lasting periods (think 30 day long AF and 20 maxi-pads a day and still leaking all over the place)
a lot of brown spotting when not on period.
diarrhea or just soft stools nearly everyday.
I'm waiting to get scheduled in for a lap/hyst so I guess I'll know either way once that's done, but just want an idea in the meantime. I should add that my periods are NOT painful aside from the usual cramps.
I have the exact same symptoms except the very long periods. After my first ultrasound I found out I had pcos. She said my uterus is the size of a 3 month pregnant person. I had a follow up ultrasound. It shows my uterus is slightly bigger than my last ultrasound. It states I still have polycystic ovaries and a retroverted uterus. She said I had adenomyosis which she said is like endometriosis. I have to have another ultrasound in 3 months to see what to do next.
I have the same symptoms, and sometimes my period lasts much longer Now I have intense pain during period and irritable bowel syndrome I think? I am not eager to do a lap, as I just had uterine polyps removed with an hysteroscopy and I had a tumor removed from my left breast not long ago. I'm just tired of feeling tired.
IBS Symptoms are the same as endo!?!? I never knew that >.<
I hope everything works out for you girls!!

It's not necessarily the same, but many endo women complain of IBS symptoms. I thought for a while I might have IBS but after keeping food diaries etc, my gynae was sure it wasn't IBS and more likely endo, and then did a lap and found endo.
Wow, i never knew that. My doctor (half a**ed) Dx with ibs 4 years ago. He was like You have ibs, there is nothing you can do but that explains why you arent feeling well. I do have some Ibs symptoms as well as endo?!?! Next time I go to my new Doctor who actually listens i will ask her >.< Thanks.
