Default Does Spiro help my hairloss?

After a year on Met and Actos, my hair still kept falling out. Adter pleading with my endo, he prescribed Sprio. I know that a lot of you are on Spiro, so I am asking a bit of advice here: Having read in an article that Sprio can actually CAUSE scalp hairloss, I am freaked out, I cannot afford to lose any more of my hair - as it is, I have to use all kinds of tricks to cover my scalp (usually involves a lot of hairspray and strategically placed strands ...).

What are your experiences? Did Spiro help you grow your hair back? How long did it take to see the first effects? I am desperate to see some improvement, though I do realize that 3 weeks on Spiro is not enough to notice a difference yet. What's the verdict: 2 months? 6 months? A year?

Any input will be greatly appreciated ...

Cool Spiro

I've been on Spiro for over three years. It didn't help or cause more hair loss. I just continued to shed the same as I always had. My Endocrinologist put me on Flutamide this past June. It works differently on the Testosterone. (something about DHT) The hair loss has stopped. I see quite a bit of regrowth. I put my hair in a pony tail this morning and realized how much thicker it is. I was on 200mgs of spiro, but when we added Flutamide he lowered it to 50mgs.
