Yes my sister has it too. I sometimes wonder who has worse symptoms me or her.

Well for me that is interesting. I only have half siblings. My sister from my mom doesn't, and my sister from my dad's side had other problems and I'm sure that PCOS was not ever thought of. She was in a state facility for many years. She was mentally retarted due to an overdose of medication, long story. So I can't say if she did or not. I think that my PCOS is from my dad's side so she may have had it and never was dxed.
Yes, my older sister was dx about 1 1/2 years before I was. She has a lesser version of PCOS then what I have. Also have 2 adult cousins on my dad's side who have had symptoms and a dx for awhile now.

Yep...my sister is 6 years older than me and she has PCOS as well. I was diagnosed a month before she was... She is on this website too....KamiraQ Oh yeah, and we have 2 other sisters that do not have it...I am suspicious that one of them does, but she won't get it checked out.
My sister is 19 years old and has AN (the brown patches) but has no DX yet. She is also on BCP which I was on for several years and I believe that BCP masked my symptoms. Once I came off BCP lookout! PCOS full force. I don't say to much about it now except that it might be wise for her to be checked sooner rather than later. She is already inquring if she should start trying to ahve kids to avoid the issues I am going throguh at this time. The last thing I need is her to be pregnanat she has so much ahead of her. Oh well it kinda turned into a rant.....sorry bout that =)

My sister has it. We share some of the same symptoms, but her cysts are much worse than mine while I have more of the histurism and hair loss.
It's definitely genetic for us. I had an aunt who I'm sure had it, and there are other female relatives on both sides of the family who have all the typical symptoms.
