Heh Amy - i thought Jenn's birthday was tomorrow too, but it's actually Thursday. I got stuffed up because of the leap year, which upset Jenn GREATLY because she had been counting down the days and I only realised on Saturday... as a result we're letting her open one of her presents tomorrow... Heh, I hope that head of yours clears. There's nothing worse than a migraine. I take it Don is off working again. I'll pray that those kids of yours act like the angels they are and let you rest.

DOH! Sorry Deb, I keep thinking that it's Wednesday today. I have Jenn's b'day written on the right day, just one day ahead of myself.
Yes, Don is away - I'm really over it at the moment. Feeling overwhelmed and unsupported in many ways. Better go...I've got one very tired, cranky and non-reasoning boy on my hands...

Oh Amy - big (((hugs))) to you! It is INCREDIBLY hard not having your partner around when you're raising little kids, especially when you've got work pressure as well (oh how I wish I didn't know that so personally...). I know you guys are moving in a forward direction and I can see a point, hopefully soon, when you won't have to be a single parent with Don being away so much. I hope you get a good sleep tonight and feel a lot better in the morning. You are a wonderful friend and I wish I could just come over and help you out.

Thanks Donna! I hope work is bareable for you. I'll pass on your message to Jenn. i forgot to tell you too, Jenna talks about mackenzie quite a bit. He made quite an impression on her.

saph thanks for the sympathy over the job, I got more bad news today that my fav co worker is also leaving in may, shes the only person I really get along with in our tiny 4 person workplace.

but enough of the misery! I'm really stoked to get the chance to be able to do something really nice, my Guides were looking for somewhere to donate edible goods & so I contacted the local Children's Hospital who have a place called Ronald McDonald house where parents of very sick children stay to be close to their kids. Anyway they were really happy to accept our donation and we are in the process of arranging to serve afternoon tea one day in the next few weeks to the parents!

Heh Jeanette that's cool about the charity work. We've got Ronald MacDonald houses over here too. I didn't realise they were in NZ too, but it figures... Maccas is certainly a big company.

I'm working at home and trying to entertain my little boy at the same time today. I decided he is still too sick for daycare today. I wish he'd go to sleep though. It's coming up to one o'clock and he's STILL awake *sigh*. He's been quite tolerant of me disappearing off to my laptop while he plays, which is great.

Yeah, Macas do lots of promotions each year to support the Ronald Macdonald house charity. Australian Idol has it as one of its major charities.
