Unhappy Don't have a clue- Just Diagnosed and need help please?!?!

Hi everyone,

I'm new to all this and have just been diagnosed with PCOS.

I'm 26years old, averidge overweight and have been diagnosed by blood tests and how regular my periods are. I did not know i had a problem as my periods have always been either 6-8 weeks apart or 4-6 weeks apart.

I went to the doctors after i did not have a period for 3 months and the pregnancy test was negative. (not trying for a family yet)

I am going for an internal scan in 2 weeks time but apart from the above information i dont know anything.

The doctor has not eplained how this will effect me when i want to try for children or anything and by boyfriend does not understand that i'm worried as i dont know anything.

Please can you give me some advice/info on what to expect and what i should be asking the doctor. I wont be seeing her now until after my scan.

Thanks for all your help
xx

Hi Guys,

Thanks for you for all help and advice, i had my u/s today and was told my ovaries are the correct size so they dont have the size characteristics of PCOS but was also told they were covered in cyst's all over.

Dose this mean that i do have PCOS as i have cyst's, irregular periods and high hormone levels?

Still confused but back to the Dr's in about a week for the full results and have a small list of questions for her.

Thanks again for all your help
xx
