My points seem to be going up in funny little leaps and bounds overnight even when I'm not posting. Is it possible that someone is donating then to me and if so can I find out who so that I can thank them properly?
Also, if I want to buy a gift for someone, do I need to put my points in my pocket first, or can I buy them with my money in the bank? (Sorry to be so dim, it's probably already been covered somewhere.) I keep getting the message that I don't have enough to buy a gift. Thank you!
if your points are in the bank you will gain interest, but if you wanna buy something they have to be withdrawn into your pocket.

when you do withdraw them they dont show up untill you refresh your page a few times , just so you dont think you lost them
also if you started a thread and people look at it or post on it you gain points -just another reason they may be going up even though you are'nt posting

I know a couple of the richest members have been donating points a lot lately. Its possibly they got you too!
When someone donated to me, they told me they were doing it so I could give out more gifts to newbies, but I don't see the donation in my history.
