Angry Done Provera! Bleeding Heavy.

I took my provera from the 9th, till the 14th. I am off of the provera now, and i just got my period on the 17th. I am bleeding really heavy and getting alot of abdominal pain. Anything i can do? I took Advil. I work tomorrow and i am worried that i will be in too much pain to work. Im not allowed to call in sick either.

Thanks for any advice.

I thought it was just me!, I did a seven day provera stint, and started bleeding four days ago, I have never (ever!) felt this pain with AF, EVER! and bleeding so heavy, I have been laid up this weekend with a hot water bottle (bliss). But I must say it is worrying me a little, because there is no sign of let up yet!. I have been taking paracetamol and ibuprofen (think different in UK)

just realised I haven't been much help to you, but I'd heard some women use provera and have a very light bleed with no cramps! lucky I guess

Hi I took provera for 10 days and got af one day after I stopped it. This af is a good one-lots of cramps-good bleeding. i take up to 800 mg IBUPROFEn-it totally curese the cramps and I can function normally.

Taking provera is in escence having a chemical d and c I read so it is supposed to clean you out. bear with it, I am loving it b/c I want to be cleaned out to make this baby! GL to you!

boy i am just the opposite, i soo wish i was bleeding more, i have had such a light flow i would barely decide when to call it day one and not just spotting. you would think that after a 101 day cycle it would have more to clear out.

Hi everyone.... I just got my period today!!! wohooo!! I was so excited to see it even if I have to take provera to get it..... needless to say... I was wondering if anyone felt other effects, like you can't keep your eyes open, and the dizzy spells???? I just also upped my dose of Met, from 1000mg to 1700mg a day, this could possiblely be the effects as well???... I noticed way more cramping, and pain with Provera then I have ever experienced with BCP or On my own..... Needless to say I was doing cart wheels when I seen red today....lol Best of luck to everyone!!

Default Too little bleeding

I am having the opposite problem as well. We are TTC and my period has been MIA since I got off of BC. My doctor prescribed me 10 pills of Provera and I got my period on day 9 of taking the pills although I didn't start to really bleed until day 10. It's now day 11 and I'm not bleeding that heavily although I am having terrible cramping. Is this normal?
