I was just recently "diagnosed" with PCOS I am currently looking for an endocrinologist in Austin, tx.

Can someone tell me what they mean by NPC?

I have been taking vitex/dong quai off and on for 3 years now.

Initially when taking Vitex you are supposed to take 2 pills 3 times a day for 8 weeks then one a day after that.

For 2 years my vitex has worked for exactly 1 yr and then stopped all together with an acne breakout. It takes me about 3-4 months to get my body to settle back down after that. I was debating starting Dong Quai and Vitex again but I am not sure about it.

My dr says that if I have a period every 3 months she is happy, my gyno says if my periods don't occur every months she is unhappy.

I would like to start Vitex again but it is supposedly not supposed to be taken if you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant. And in my case I would never know since my periods aren't reqular....

Does anyone know the side effects of being pregnant while taking vitex?

Hi! NPC means Natural progestrone Cream
i have heared alot of cysters taking vitex and dong quai when they r ttc but u have to monitor urself whether u r Ovulating or not u can find so many articles on boards in alternate remedies section GOOD LUCK

You shouldn't take vitex during pregnancy, but can use it during ttc to balance hormone and possibly bring on ovulation.
