Hi

Well i dont really know where to start but my citalopram has been increased to 60mg and it started to work but i had my period last week and i felt so awful, i had never felt worse like this and i have contd to be so emotional. I cant sleep either and am waiting for my scan which will be third time lucky.

It can take several weeks for the increase in dosage to really take effect. Hang in, hope you feel better soon.

You may not feel the increase in your medication for about 4-6 weeks. It takes awhile to build up in your system. Another thing is that I had this problem before and the dr. had to give me a little something else for the time of the month. It's what called a PRN medication (basically that means as needed) I'd take the extra pill as it was prescribed when I needed it once a month when AF was coming and when she showed up
