I am reading the different dosages and my doctor only has me on .05 MG on synthroid. Isnt that just a tiny dose? Does anyone else take that small of an amount?
Were you recently diagnosed or have you been around in thyroid hell for a while? Usually when a person is first diagnosed, they are started at a small dose and they work their way up to the proper dose for them. I don't know if your doc is doing that or not. Usually the "starter" dose is about 25 mcg. I think that your dose is actually 50 mcg (if my brain is functioning right and I'm doing the conversion right). It's not that low, but not that high either. The "usual" dose for certain thyroid issues is 75 mcg (micrograms, by the way). But, it all depends on the person and how they metabolize the meds...
I hope that helps you. Usually Shenacat is the expert around here, so maybe PM her and see what she thinks...
Big hugs and welcome!

Thanks for your reply. I was diagnosed in March. My Doctor had me go on this dose from the start and then I had to go in after 6 weeks and have another blood test. I have not heard anything after that so I am guessing that dosage was correct. I can't really say that it makes me feel differently one way or the other. Maybe others would (by my behavior or something)
