The down low on VITEX....

For all my wondering buddies, here is the best site that I have found on vitex it is the German Commission E Monographs, which is actually like our FDA except for herbs. Here is the website for vitex information . From what I am understanding, I will use my vitex tablets as an example.

My pills are 300mg with 10.5% so since I am suppose to have 50%-70% with 30mg-50mg. I would divide the 50% and the 70% by my pills 10.5%, coming up with 4.76 and 6.6 then multiply my answers by 30mg and 50mg coming up with 142.8mg - 333mg of my pills. Which comes out to be one of my pills.

Other web sites say to take anywhere between 90mg - 1200mg. I think it totally depends on the % that your pills are though as to how many pills you should take.

Yeah, that is a little confusing. My bottle of capsules says it has 15mg of vitex extract in a capsule, which is equivalent to 150mg of fresh fruit. So I'm guessing I'll take two tablets.

Yes, two or even three would be fine for yours being that it is 15mg of extract. I guess the total mg doesn't matter.

Hey there

Now, you know it doesn't take much to confuse me

So, on my bottle it says that each capsule contains "Agnus Castus.......400mg (dried fruit of Vitex Agnus Castus"..............so am I still taking just the one...........like I told you, it doesn't take much to confuse me

Andrea, who is your vitex made by? Maybe I can look it up on line and see what it says about it. I would continue taking just one until we find out for sure....the good thing is that the German FDA (I forget what their official title is) says that you cannot overdose on vitex, but it can probably rally whack up your cycles....
