 Dr. Carol McCullough in Hermitage, TN
Dr. McCullough is an ob/gyn but has been very aggressive in treating my PCOS (Met, Spiro, etc.). She told me how hard it is for people with PCOS/IR to lose weight, and she told me the even if blood tests don't indicate IR, you can be IR for your metabolism (as evidenced by the acanthosis nigricans under my arms).
The only complaint I have is that she's hard to get an appointment with (you have to plan ahead to get in when you need to), and I had to go to my family doc to get my BP meds changed when I started taking Spiro. I asked her if taking Spiro and the diuretic in my BP med probably was OK, and she told me to check with the doctor that prescribed the BP med. I'd love to have one doc that could manage both because now I am using Spiro in a dual role (BP and PCOS). |
