Just wondering if anyone was seeing Dr. Martin in London? I have an appt. Sept. 22. I am currently on 1500mg of metformin and have tried clomid and letrozole. No luck there.
I too see Dr. Martin. Did he put you on the Metformin? Were you tested for IR?
I have been on Clomid for 4 months and only O'd twice. I am going to see him again on the 8th to see the next step. Although I haven't had success yet I have heard lots of good things about him from a friend who is a delivery room nurse. I also know that he works like a dog. He was even in the office once on a Sunday when I went for blood work and the nurses said he is in EVERY day.

I think he is just RE. I've only seen him once since April but I am going next week so maybe he'll have a little more to say. I have thought about seeing a nutritionist but I'm not sure if it's covered.

Hey ladies I too live in London ON and DH and I saw Dr. Power. He is a terrific guy. Loved him to pieces. He did not treat us though as I feel pregnant before we could start all of our testing.
But he is great. Have not heard anything about Dr. Martin. Where does he work out of??? A clinic, UWO hospital????

As for Dr Martin, he has his own clinic on Southdale. They actually do IVF and everything there.

My name is Vanessa, I was duagnose with PCOS 2 years ago. Thanks to Dr. Martin, I have a very happy & healthy 11 month old boy. I was on metformin, and he put me on the drug fermara. It took us 3 months to get pregnant once we were on this rug.
Dr. Martin is a godsend, and I would recommend him to anyone.
He really does know what he is doing.

Glad to find this thread. I have an appointment with Dr. Martin on October 15th. I was seeing Dr. Feyles at the University Hospital RE clinic and really liked him. I did 2 cycles of Clomid (1-50 mg and 1-100 mg) and produced eggs with both cycles. The 1st cycle I ovulated too early and the 2nd we went through HCG and IUI insemination. I had 4 really good follicles but the Clomid effected my lining. Now Dr. Feyles wants me to go straight to injectables. I tried speaking to my nurse about this and she said there was nothing else to try but injectables. I saw Dr. Martin's website and he has had great results with Femera and I would like to find out more about this. I work for a dr so I talk to a lot of drug reps and I asked one of them to ask around about Dr. Martin and she said that everyone she spoke with said he knows his stuff. If Dr. Martin suggests the injectables, we will probably go back to Dr. Feyles but they cost so much and if we can try another way 1st...... I just want to know my options.
Reading this thread makes me feel like getting this 2nd opinion is the right thing to do as he is such a great dr.
