I would recommend Dr. Richard Legro at Hershey Med. Great Doc and has written a great PCOS book.

I whole heartedly agree. I've only been seeing Dr Legro for about 6 months but I really like him. He takes time to answer all my questions, whether strange or not. Actually, I like everyone in his clinic, they are all very helpful. Oh, another nice thing, you get a number straight to his nurse...and she actually calls you back that day!!

I agree with Irish about Dr. Glassner. I also recommend his associates Dr Pfeffer and Orris. I am TTC#2 and have nothing but good things to say about the group.
Good luck with finding an RE.

My pick would be Dr. Katherine Sherif. She is the co-director of The PCOS Center in Philadelphia and the Center for Women's Health. I think Dr. Legro is great but, he is hard to get an appointment with as he also does a ton of research and lectures. I do not know much about Glasner. If you want to touch base wit Dr, Sherif you cna call the center 215-762-5181

All the Best,
Ashley

Update on my visit with Dr. Schless (Endocrynologist)

Had an appointment with him today at 12:00pm, lasted till 1:10pm. Very Very nice doctor, answered ALL of my questions and concerns, ordered some more blood work. He is very good with explaining and spends time with his patients, doesnt rush you out of the door, tries to get to know you. He is a Specialist in Metabolic Medicine and Clinical Prof at UPenn Med School.
We worked on a food plan, basically what to avoid and food substitutes. He is very familiar with Metformin and PCOS knowledgable.
My second appoitment will be in about week and a half when my blood work results come back.

If you are looking for an Endo in the Philly area, I would highly recomend him!

Babyrose - Glad to hear your appt with your new RE went well. I think that makes a huge difference if you can really connect with your doctor. Good luck and be sure to keep your cysters updated!

I concur with Ashley Tabeling who has done an enormous amount of work for PCOS and whose knowledge is first rate. Ashley recommended Dr Sherif to me and I am extremely happy to be under her care.

Good Luck!

I saw Dr. Williams at Penn Fertility Care. She was outstanding, the facility was nice and the staff was kind. We wished that she could have been our OB as well bc we liked her manor and kindness so much.
