Default Dr. Richard Weinstein - endocrinologist in Walnut Creek, CA

Has anyone gone to him for treatment on PCOS? I see he was one of the doctors who was in charge of inositol testing in 2001. He happens to be covered under my insurance, and I wanted to know if anyone had any experiences with him.

I have not gone to this dr, but I wanted to recommend MY endo who is just down 680 in Danville - off of 680 and El Cerro...His name is Dr. Schlesinger, and i LOVE him! He spends like 40 minutes with me when I come in, he is up on ALL the latest PCOS treatments (after 2 doctors told me I did not have it - all it took was one look at my bloodwork to tell me I was a classic case - THANK you!!), is open to listening to me and letting me try stuff (like Byetta, even though metformin alone corrected my blood sugar issues - I wanted to try it for weight loss of the pesky PCOS pounds!)...So, if you are looking for a great dr and don't mind the drive, I highly recommend Dr. Schlesinger...

Best of luck to you!! don't delay - just get into a doctor and start trying Met and other solutions to the plague of PCOS problems (like hair - I'm on Spironolactone and love it!).
