I went for my appointment with my fertility specialist/gyn on Thursday.The nurse who did my vitals asked my husband if this was my 1st baby?.He told her;"She isn't pregnant" she done a pregnancy test to make sure.My Dr came in and discussed some options.He asked if my menstrual period came.I told him"Yes, it was very painful and heavy" He discussed options as I am insulin resistant.He told me the levels was suppose to be 17 while my levels was 33.He prescribed me Metformin 850mg ii a day and Clomiphene Citrate (50 mg) for 5 days to stimulate ovulation plus be on a diet such as south beach or atkins.The metformin makes me awfully nauseated and the clomid makes me dizzy.I was in so much in a hurry I forgot to ask him if it was safe to take together as I take 1 pill every 4 hours (such as metformin in the morning,clomid in the afternoon and metformin in the evening)On the clomid,I am suppose to take it during menstrual cycle 3 which was Feb 2nd for 5 days.On the leaflet, it tells me I should engage in SA on days 12,13 ans 14.If I dont become pregnant within 2 months time,he is going to refer me to a specialist to see if there is something other than the insulin preventing me to become pregnant.
