I didn't need a referal to see a psychologist. I thought that because normally psychologists were paid either out of pocket or with personal insurance that it wasn't required. A psychiatrist on the other hand...is paid by most provincial plans & does require a referal.
Yeah I don't need a referal, but she said she'd write a letter with a brief description of my situation and give me the number of someone she thinks is good. We only have 1 psychiatrist for the whole northwest territories so unless you are an extreme case you don't see him! So I guess i'll be paying the 150 bucks a sesion

hubby is coming with me cause of course I can't drive cause of the dizziness. I am actually looking forward to making a psychologist appointment! I need to get things out!

Mine is covered through my previous car insurance company.
Otherwise I wouldn't have any either.

STILL no word on when i'll get in to see a neurologist, she has left him a message to call her.
I also got a name of a good psychologist and will be making an appointment soon!
