Dr. Fisseha is an amazing, patient RE. She is with the University of Michigan Health System. She diagnosed me immediately, and she has always listened to what my DH and I have had to say. I seriously adore her.
I am a patient of Dr. Fisseha's as well! We LOVE her!

I would highly recommend Dr. Fisseha for your endocrinologist.. if for some reason you can't see her, Dr. Charles Burant is also very popular and good. You can tell them both I recommended you.
OBGYN is in Canton, at the UofM satalite facility...Dr. Zanders.
Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions! I personally LOVE the UofM system!

I third Dr. Fisseha-- I saw her based on comments here, and am delighted to talk to someone who actually GETS PCOS and can ACCURATELY read my lab results and give me a birth control option that MAKES SENSE.
Yea MissMoss!!!! Glad you loved her as much as we do!

Let's just put it this way-- my old GYN told me I wasn't IR, but wanted me to stay on Metformin 'just in case' and tossed some pharm rep sample birth control pills my way that were completely wrong for PCOS and which caused a total hormonal tornado inside my body.
After three months of that hell I saw Dr. Fisseha this week. She explained that I am IR (though still inside the lab 'normal' ranges), gave me an extended release Metformin that stopped my daily runs to the bathroom, and put me on a BCP that is much more PCOS friendly and will put my body back on track. Her first words to me after looking over my chart were 'you are not crazy'! I could have cried-- ha!
It makes me want to call up my (former) GYN and chew her out-- how can she know so little about a condition that happens in 5-10% of her patients!?
Thanks so much for recommending her-- this message board continues to amaze me.
