HI! I AM LOOKING FOR A GOOD DR IN THE DC / MD AREA . DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY RECOMENDATIONS? I AM SPECIFICALLY LOOKING FOR AN ENDOCRINOLOGIST BUT A GREAT GYN THAT SPECIALIZES IN PCOS WOULD BE GREAT TOO. THANKS!!

I can never toot the horn of my doctor enough! He is a reproductive endocrinologist but he mentioned to me that he treats PCOS patients that aren't ttc. He's got a great, dry sense of humor, cares deeply about his patients, and is very upfront with the facts. His name is Dr. John Gordon and he is part of Dominion Fertility in Arlington VA. I lived in northwest Washington DC at the time and it took me about a 1/2 to get to him over the Chain Bridge. Not sure where you are so there may be a better way to get to him from where you are.

HEY! THATNKS FOR THE QUICK RESPONSE - I AM IN SILVER SPRING SO THAT IS NOT TOO FAR. I AM GOING TO BE TTC SOON BUT LAST TIME I WAS ABLE TO CONCEIVE WITH JUST ONE ROUND OF CLOMID SO HOPEFULLY MY GYNO CAN HANDLE THAT WHOLE PROCESS AGAIN - ASSUMING ITS AS EASY THE 2ND TIME AROUND (I HOPE!! ) I JUST WANTED TO SEE SOMEONE WHO IS INFORMED ABOUT PCOS TO HELP WITH THE HORMONE STUFF (WEIGHT,EXCESS HAIR ECT) I NEVER SAW AN ENDO AND I THINK ITS TIME TO - I HAVE ONLY SEEN MY GYNO ABOUT MY PCOS AND ALTHOUGH SHE IS GREAT AND ENDO WOULD PROBABLY HELP BETTER .THANKS....AMY

Hi there,

I go to Frank Chang in Bethesda and he has been great. He calls me back the same day and stays on the phone for all of my questions. He is very thorough and the nurses are nice. I also had a consultation w/ Dr. Gindoff at GW and found him to be rude and he invited two male interns into our meeting without asking if I minded! I highly, highly recommend Chang!
