 dream a little dream...
Here are my big and not so big pipedreams:
1. Finish up my #$%^ master's thesis already and graduate.
2. Move to San Francisco.
3. Work in creating and implementing health programs that teach people of all sorts about their bodies, what to expect in medical situations, the questions to ask a potential provider, etc. I especially want to create medical information that's culturally competent and relevant to lesbian and transfolk, as they're lacking the most in the way of tangible health services/instruction that reflects their reality. [Example: I want to teach FTMs like myself about GYN health in a trans-positive way that respects both their identity and their body, including care for those of us with PCOS. Some studies indicate that as many as 25% of FTMs have PCOS.]
4. Make a fair bit of money, but not enough that I get crass and forget my roots or my principles.
5. Have a small vineyard in my backyard so I can make my own wine, juice, and grape jam. Yum!
6. Start my own swing band. End up playing Ice Cream Socials, Bar Mitzvahs, and Weddings (for fun). |
