okay here are my questions did you start a cycle straight away after surgary or do you have to wait, my last one was about 18 months ago. Approx how many cycles do you get afterwards, I have heard about 3 or 4. Do you have to stay in hospital over night, I dont find out until next Thusday 4 days before I go in and did you have to take time off work? last question I promise, anyone know if you have to keep taking metformin.

Thanks:o

my surgery was done in the evening, so I stayed in overnight.

Surgery was Wednesday night, went back to work Monday.

Had a little light bleeding for a couple of days (I had D&C at the same time).

Period 10 days later, then another one 50+ days later, then got pregnant next cycle.

Good Luck!

Lis

i had mine in the morning, and was allowed home by late afternoon, providing i could eat a sandwich, drink tea, and keep them down, also have a wee!!
it didn't really do much for me except, make my periods lighter, before the op, i had maybe 1 or 2 periods a year, and they would last maybe upto a month, but after the op, periods still only came maybe 2-3 times a year, but they were very light, and lasted the norm 5-7 days!!!

i didnt ovulate with ovarian drilling!!
i took a week off work, mainly because the work i do,(domestic cleaning), the 4 places that i had stitches were a bit sore for a few days(bear in mind this was about 8 years ago)technology is soo more advanced nowadays!

Thanks for all your info on drilling. We have been trying for a family for 10 years now and we feel this is our last hope. Im excited and apprehensive about this op, and trying not to get my hopes up too much!!!

I had drilling done at the end of August and have had only 1 slight af (2 days after) Af stopped dont know why so have taken Primlut to bring on af and then Clomid cd2-6. Dr. Waterstone wanted me to do IUI now but I want to wait till after Christmas.

I had great hopes and high expectations but nothing yet but I dont want to burst your bubble or anything but it has worked for an awful lot of people.

Can I ask a general question since the drilling does anyone experience pain when going to the loo ? Or is it just me lol

All the best

Helen

Good luck Lynn, I'm due in for mine on the 19th Nov so I'll be thinking of you, I'm going in mid-morning and out at tea time, they say back to work on the following Monday, but I might just wag a few more days, these oportunities don't come by very often!!
