Today, I dropped our petition for finalization at the attorney's office! Yay!!! It will be filed with the court next week and then we just wait for a date....the attorney said about 4 weeks!!! Yay!!! This is nearly over and ds will be ours officially! Our only fear at this point is that dh is deployed and we are submitting a faxed copy of the signature page of the petition. Dh had it notarized on his end and faxed it back and I signed it as well. The court wants a permanent copy with both sigs original, but since dh is on the other side of the planet, what are we supposed to do?? We are pushing this thru before he gets home since we don't know when or if he'll have to go again and he NEEDS to be home for this!! Just keeping my fingers crossed that they accept the faxed signature page.

We are in the same boat kinda.
We signed the papers, our sw submitted to the courts, but we wont be informed of the court date until it has already happened. so for all we know it may have already happened.
Here's to hoping the process is speedy for both of our families.
