my doctor is really nice, he's a 50 something year old man and he's unbelievably understanding about all things woman related. i went to see him today and told him wbout my tummy pains and he was so helpful. he had a gentle prod about (trousers on so no awkwardness) thenb said it could be IBS but he didn't think so but would give me some anti-spasmodics just incase, and told me to mention it when i go to see my gynacologist as he thinks it may be endometriosis. he was just so good about it all, even chatted more about my PCOS even though that wasn't technically what i was in for. i have never had such a professional doctor, and no womandoctor has ever been any good. my best mate who has urinary tract problems quite frequently said the same, male doctors are just more understanding about womens troubles. anyway just wanted to say it could have been a horrible appointment with awkwardness and me being afraid of possible diagnoses but instaed i felt really professionally treated.

Congrats on having such a great and concerned doctor- those are certainly hard to come by most of the time!

Congrats! I know how you feel, I'm sure most of us here have had horrible Dr's more often than not :p

My DR is wonderful as well, it was like a big warm hug seeing him for the first time, like finally! A DR who actually cares and knows something about PCOS!!
