Hi rahrao,

I am not sure what kind you are looking for, but I go the very best RE ever if you are TTC. It would be a drive for you, but very very worth it. If you are not TTC, his partners are excellent. They are with OGA/Women's hospital behind the Astrodome. I know of several from Northwest Houston and one from Hempstead that drive in to see him.

Dr Randall Dunn(mine....highest success rate for TTC in Texas...#1 fertility doctor in Texas) Wonderful, caring and understanding.

Partners:Leah Shank and Cecilia Valdez(will take you if you are or aren't TTC) I have seen Shank and liked her.

Thank you. I am not TTC but the Gyn I'm seeing doesn't seem to know much about PCOS. I didn't really want to drive all the way to the Dome but I just might have to do it. Congrats on your babies!

I know this post is older and I'm not sure if you're still looking for a Gyn or not.

I'd like to second the recommendation of Dr.Dunn as he is an absolute angel and the reason I have my daughter
If you aren't TTC though, I would think that Dr.Shenck or Dr.Valdes would be great choices. There are several other OGA docs that have a satellite office in NW Hoston by Willowbrook Mall and I would think that being in that large practice with so many RE's who are knowledgable on PCOS, they should also have a good understanding of it.
If you don't want to see one of the docs down at OGA by the dome, perhaps they could recommend someone in the NW area?

I actually live in the far NW side (Cypress) and could give you the name of my Ob/Gyn but I don't think he's all that good with PCOS He didn't diagnose me, it took my second RE (Dr.Dunn to catch it) but he will give me my Glucohpage prescriptions and listens to what I want him to treat me with.

Good Luck Feel free to PM me here if you want more info on my Ob/Gyn.
