Anyone else have dry feet? Like, my heels are so dry, when I take off my socks, they scrape against the socks and my socks kind of stick to my feet. I've tried soaking them every night and giving them a scrub with my pumice stone, and slathering them with thick cream made for feet, but they keep going back to dry and cracked.
Does anyone have anything else they've tried that works?
I have something going on like that. It's been really upsetting me too. It seems to be favoring my right side more. It really hurts sometimes. I haven't really found anything that works yet. I am glad I came across this post though. Since, if I didn't I would've thought it was just me.
Hi I have the same thing going on. My diabetic dr. told me to put crisco on my feet and then put socks on. I tried it and it didn't help me. I have tried expensive diabetic lotion and it didn't help either. The latest thing i tried was baby oil gel and i was putting it on after my shower and then putting socks on and then putting it on again in the morning. It didn't help either. I wish we could find something that will help.

I have really dry feet too (diabetic) and have found the only way to keep my feet from drying out and cracking (ouch!) is to slather them in this balm I found. It's called Champney's Sa Pedicure Intensive Cracked Heel Treatment Balm...however, I'm not sure how much this will help you as it's in the UK and it's a little on the pricey side. It also hasn't solved the problem completely (still little dry patches but no scraping on socks etc)and I have to apply it daily for it to prevent my feet going back to dry and cracked.
I'm going to see a chiropedist/pediatrist tomorrow at my Diabetes clinic appointment so I'm going to ask them what to do.

I've had dry feet for as long as I can remember and I've tried everything to keep my heels from cracking and bleeding. This is what I finally found that works: Once a week I sand my heels using sandpaper (yes, real, 60-grit and a sanding block). Then I slather them with Udderly Smooth Foot Cream. I used to use the Udderly Smmoth Hand Cream and it worked well, too. I still use the hand cream for my hands, arms, legs, etc. I buy it at Wal-Mart for $.97 for a 2 oz. tube so it's definitely affordable.
The only thing that I found that helped me and DH is Avon's African Shea Butter Foot & Elbow Cream. I put it on at night before bed (without and without socks) and can tell a big difference in the morning.
