Default Dry feet but more then that

Ive tried searching here and on google but Im really at a loss as to what to even use as search words.
I've had issues before with athletes foot when i was younger and getting that horrible cracking between my toes(although i havent had that in ages thank goodness) and Ive also had issues with thick dryer skin on my feet. I do go bare foot much more then i probably should so I assume that is why.

Now though id say in the past 6 months or so and only on one foot is the problem growing to be unbearable. The skin is definitly dryer and thicker on my right foot and has become increasily itchy. Now Ive noticed i will get a lump i can feel under the skin that will start an itch that only gets worse the more I scrath it. In a few days that lump will become a lump of...I guess dry skin...on the surface of my foot and will hurt like a ....really bad and itch even worse. Ive used pumice stone before on my feet so i deciede to scrub that spot and all I managed to do was casue a nice open sore in the middle of my foot thats like a crater cause there is still a layer of dry skin around it. Whats weird is it isnt like i super scrubbed it and just wore a hole in me. I really didnt scrub that hard or long as was seen by the fact there was still a nice layer of skin around it.
I am so frustrated at this point. They hurt and itch like i cant decribe and Ive tried everything I can think of. Vasaline and socks, various athlete foot cremes, anti itch and anti bactirial cremes. Some like the atlete foot and anti itch creme offer imideite help in the itch will die down and such but half the time i think in the long run they make it worse as it seems to dry the skin out more.
Does anyone have any ideas or help or anything!! I was joking with my husband tonite about just cutting it off and while of course i was joking when its really bad it almost sounds worth it!!

P.s. It does worsen (especially the itching) after a shower or basically getting it wet. Im not sure if that tired in with these lil lumps of hell or just part of dry skin as my hands also get itchy if i wash them to much.

I use a cream, kerasol I think. I'll double check the name when I look in my locker at the gym tomorrow. It takes off the dead skin and makes even the most horrible feet soft. I used to have fred flinstone ones but now they are soft and best of all don't itch like crazy. I'll post the name of it tomorrow, and you can buy it at any drugstore.

Have you had it checked by a Doctor or Chiropodist? Maybe there's an infection under the skin or something.

I have a patch of Verucas on my foot and the skin grows extra quick around/over them and I have to file he skin down every day so I kinda know how annoying it is to have this extra irritable skin growing more than normal.

I hope it heals soon.
