Post Dry Mouth??

Hi I have a question. My RE says my glucose level was 120 my insulin level was 200 (this wasn't a fasting blood test). He knows I am IR but also thinks it might be diabetes. I have a DR appt for a GTT on Monday but since the RE called to tell me this (last Friday) I have had a dry mouth. I'm not overly thirsty but no matter what I do my mouth is always dry. Is this a symptom of diabetes?

Thanks in advance.

Before I found out that I was diabetic, my mouth was constantly dry...I was really thirsty, too, but I found that I could drink enough to not be thirsty anymore - my mouth still felt like it was full of cotton, though.

Just my bit of information...your levels don't sound TOO bad - hopefully if you are diabetic, you'll be able to control it without insulin (like me and a lot of other cysters). And for the record, once my blood sugars got back in a good range, I felt better than I had in as long as I could remember.

Good luck!

I seem to recall always have a dry, cottony mouth before being diagnosed. I was also extremely tired but had trouble sleeping at night.
