Default Dry shave a closer shave?

I'm just wondering if its just me or does shaving dry really produce a closer shave? Usually for my upper lip, I just shave dry there really fast in the morning b4 putting on make-up. Tonight I could see the shadow even after makeup so i went to shave again but I was really careless. So I ended up cutting my face and it looks really bad now. :o I'm so upset cuz i was gonna go out w/ this guy 2nite, but canceled on him at the last second cuz i didnt want him asking about the cut. Anyway, so I might use shaving cream now but Im worried that the shave wont be as close.

Default

I usually have gotten way better results with shaving cream but I also shave dry if I'm in a hurry. Shaving with cream just makes my skin feel nice
