Default Dry skin

I have really really dry skin. No matter how much cream I put. My skin looks terrible. Is there anything else I can try?

Have you tried organic, unprocessed shea butter? I get it from e-bay. It's so good for my dry face.

I sooooo know what you mean. My skin has been so dry - i used lots of Nivea cream on my face. Thick moisturiser on my legs.

Hi there...is your skin dry and flaky? I have eczema (sp)...I went to the doctor and asked for some cream and it seems to help. If you are just talking about plain old dry skin...hmmm... I've used Jergen's lotion the no scent one it comes in a squeeze bottle and it works wonders! I believe it is Jergen's Ultra Healing. Good luck!

I have exzema too-- I have steroid cream for when it is bad but I TRY to avoid it as it can damage your skin in the long run. Anyway one of the best things to do is put on thick cream (try aveeno baby soothing relief moisture cream) put it on while your skin is STILL WET--- this helps lock in the moisture---

I believe dry skin is also one of those things that needs to be paid attention to with diet etc, like getting enough water to begin with. Topical things will help, but they won't 'fix' the problem at its source. Not real helpful, I know, but something to think about.

I have the kind of dry skin that in the winter it bleeds I havent found a cure but baby oil gel helps out alot I also use aveeno sensitive on my face on top of the baby oil shea butter is good as well as a cheap bottle of olive oil that is a weekly tradition for me I used vaseline for a while yes on my legs and face but I got tired of the long lasting greasy feelin the baby oil gel absorbs quickly hope this helps

I LOVE Eucerin lotion. It is a little more expensive than a lot of other lotions, but worth the cost. I also had very dry itchy skin and this helped me a lot. It is very thick and just seems to lock in the moisture all day.

Emu oil.. I think I found it on ebay... tried that a while back.. worked at the time. Now I'm using the body conditioner stuff by Oil of Olay?.. awesome stuff! Reminds me of a combo of shea butter and baby oil!

If you have dry, flaky skin on your face, I found the BEST stuff. After doing a search online, I was using Head and Shoulders to help with the flaking and then using hydrocortisone cream before I would moisturize with some type of Olay dry skin stuff. It helped some, but not that much. I was browsing the local Walmart and I got some Olay Daily Facials and the new Loreal Dermo Expertise Nutrissime Reactivating Dry Skin Cream. I used it once and I had no more flakes. I love the stuff. I sent them an email telling them to never take it away from me because I tried just about every kind of facial moisturizer on the market and it did nothing for me. It's great too because it's good for sensitive skin. I found my miracle in a bottle for dry skin.
