My DS doesn't want me to kiss him because the chin hair is scratchy. It really isn't THAT bad! What do I do about it? I am breastfeeding and can't use the creams. I tweeze because wax makes me break out. I am so sick of it!

Started November 15th and 22 pounds lost!
Walk America in 2007 in memory of my little Jackson. Go to walkamerica.org/sweetsmom to support me.
I shave too. With my relatively light hair it's the smoothest solution. Plucking always left me with bumps.
And may I say, Sweetsmom, if this little guy is old enough to express such an opinion about scratchy facial hair, perhaps he's a little old to be breastfeeding?
Unless you're talking about kids of two different ages? I hope so, giggle giggle.

What's it to you?

Oh, just kidding around, 'cause I got a mental pic of this little guy "having supper" and stopping for a minute, and looking up and saying "Mom, what's with this?" I was quite sure she was talking about kids of different ages, so if I've caused offense, I certainly hadn't meant to, and I apologize.
I do realize that is would be heartbreaking for one's child to shy away from kisses for this reason! I know it hurts me when my nine year old niece "notices!"

Thanks for explaining. I'm glad to hear you were just kidding I guess I'm just a little touchy because I fully agree with child-led weaning and extended breastfeeding. I don't see anything wrong with nursing a 3 year old and I can see a 3 year old being annoyed by the "scratchies" of facial hair.

I wouldn't bluster in with an opinion on how long to breast feed, 'cause I believe that is a mother's personal choice in collaboration with her child. Not mine to say since I've not been in the position to make the choice.
(Well, on the other hand, when Junior is ready to say "Two olives with that. please, shaken, not stirred, and hold my calls" maybe then it's time to stop!)
Sweetsmom, I use a razor in the shower in the morning, but I keep an electric razor handy in the bathroom for "touch ups" during the day. Just takes a couple of seconds. Might that help?
