Sorry, new here and just getting into the PCOS issue...I have some embarassing basic questions in mind. I don't know much about PCOS.
How do you cure PCOS? I mean, supposing those cysts don't keep growing. How do you get rid of the ones you already have? What causes them to keep growing? Does one get PCOS because of other hormonal issues? Can cysts turn cancerous? Should one get rid of the cysts they already have? Can 1 cyst alone cause an issue? (My case)
PCOS itself is a syndrome, not a disorder or disease, which means there is no official cure. The best thing to put your PCOS into remission is to treat your individual symptoms - especially if you have abnormal hormone levels. Have you been tested for your hormone levels yet?
Despite the name, cysts are not really a huge part of PCOS. Some women have the "string of pearls" formation on their ovaries, some women have actual cysts, and some women don't have any at all! Treating your symptoms (often with birth control pills or other medications) can cause your cyst(s) to shrink. I don't believe I've ever heard of them turning cancerous.
Now, if you had a really massive cyst it could cause pain; it could also burst and cause pain that way, but it's not at all harmful to you.

I have a post I made with my personal issues on the Newbies section. If possible, I'd like to get replies there. I have a long hard history (Cushings syndrome) and am currently seeking to see if I may have a PCOS issue too.
