Hi everyone! I am so happy to find this site.
I am 24 and was just diagnosed with PCOS after years of "strange" symptoms. Upon doing an internal sonogram my gynecologist said that along with having very polycystic and enlarged ovaries, that my "uterus has atrophied" and that I have virtually no lining (endometrium?). I bleed sporadically throughout the month due to this.
She has put me on Duoluton to build up the lining. Has anyone been on this med? How did it affect your PCOS...and is this condition usually connected with PCOS??
After 35 days on the duoluton I will apparently start a new (I was previously on Ovcon) BCP. Any recommendations for BCP? My situation is that I am thin (5'9" 125lbs) with excess facial/body hair and male pattern baldness. Fun! Fun!
I am currently living/working in Tokyo and don't really have the option of getting a second opinion. So yours will help!
Also if anyone has any overseas doctor referalls or know of how I could find a PCOS doctor in Tokyo---please let me know! I'm kind of scared/stressed out living soooo far from home,in a non-english speaking country, and trying to sort this out
Thanks

Arigato!
