As long as I can remember I have had bad acne (face, neck, back, chest, shoulders, basically whole upper body) that consisted of very oily skin, big pimples, whiteheads, blackheads, etc. My hair falls out like crazy (but is still thick as ever). No deodorant has ever worked. I sweat ALOT. I get monthly yeast infections. And, most importantly, I lost my sex drive a few years ago. Up until about 2002 I was 5'3, 102 lbs. I have slowly gained a bit and now am average 118-122 lbs. I clean houses so my job keeps me active but I don't do any other working out. I don't really watch what I eat either but I think I eat fairly healthily compared to most of my friends.
I have been to a few doctors (derm., GP, and 2 OB/GYN's) and was on accutane for my wedding and that is the only thing that ever worked for my skin. No one has ever thought anything of any of my other annoying problems. So, a few weeks ago I decide to call my current OB/GYN office to get my hormones tested because in my head, all of those things listed above are hormone related. I haven't had any cysts in the past few years but in HS I had a few.
I go in today to go over my blood test results and I am told everything is normal except my testosterone level is high (71) so I have PCOS. Nothing has been done yet. He recommended my husband get a SA (which I scheduled for next week) and if I want anything further done I can get an HSG. He said if we weren't TTC he would put me on BC (which I have been on in the past and I don't remember it helping my sex drive or skin) but since we are TTC, I could start Clomid. As of right now I didn't get any prescriptions or anything. I am just doing lots of my own research.
My main concern right now (no particular order) is TTC, my skin, and my sex drive.

Congrats on the diagnosis. I too have had undiagnosed symptoms for a while. My OB/GYN just dew blood last week to test for PCOS so I am hoping to have a diagnosis by this week.
He did prescribe provera for me to bring on AF and also Clomid to cause ovulation even though I am not technically TCC but wouldnt be too upset if it happened
He did mention to me that if I do have PCOS is (which he is pretty sure I have) he will prescribe metformin...
Is are you supposed to go back to your OB/GYN for a follow up visit? I think its odd he wouldnt give you anything? Did you want to do your own research first?

I am pretty sure I ovulate. I have been charting with tcoyf.com for 10 or 11 cycles now and based on cervical fluid and temps I do ovulate. My menstrual cycles are normally about 32 days long with ovulation around day 16 (except for this cycle, I am on day 39 and think I ovulated about 11 days ago).
