Default Early loss and D&C

I was 6-7 weeks when I miscarried and th OB says that being that early there is no reason to do a d&c and I was wondering if this was normal. I started bleeding Christmas eve and lost the baby Christmas morning, I then had what seemed to be normal flow for 7 days. On this past Monday I went in for a consultation and exam. I was concerned that I still have some lower back pain. I was told that everything was normal and that the uterus was still a little swollen. I am not sure I trust this doctor and wanted to know if this was indeed "normal" any input is very appreciated.

First I would like to say how sorry I am for your loss! I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks and I passed everything on my own. They checked me about a week afterwards and my cervix was closed, and I was done bleeding so they didn't do anything else. If your not bleeding or showing signs of an infection I think that it can be perfectly normal for your body to still be "healing". If you are still concerned call another doctor for a second opinion. Good luck to you!

I'm sorry for your loss. My first 2 miscarriages were early on and I was also told there was no need for a D and C. I did both naturally and at home. I think it's pretty standard to just let things happen naturally as long as there are no signs of infection.

I did have a D&C but it took me 2 weeks to feel fully "normal" again. On the other hand, it couldn't hurt to see another doctor. I'm not sure if the back pain at that point is normal.
