I have been taking Desogen for 5 months, and this month I've had some strange things happen, and I'm wondering if you can give me some feedback about it.

I usually have minor to major cramps, and occassionally get tender breasts now that I'm on BC (never used to get ANY pms symptoms).

This month I started having the following symptoms around the 13th active pill I took:

• Frequent, irrational irritability. I'm a very logical, rational person who waits out the "mad" before talking to anyone about an issue, but this month I have thrown temper tantrums, and felt a near constant need to fight back the crazy, so to speak.
• Three times (on the 13th, 14th, and 15th days of active pills) I have had 1-3 hour long stints of feeling light headed or just like my equilibrium was out of whack.
• Strange stomach issues (which could be because fo the metformin, but the frequency and timing of the stomach issues makes me suspicious).

Then, to top it all off, I ALWAYS take my first placebo pill on Sunday and get my period Wednesday afternoon to early evening and it tapers off the following Friday to Saturday. This cycle, I got my period on Sunday evening (I noticed at 6 pm). I have had pretty intense cramps, continued irritability, headaches, and lighter bleeding than normal. Today I'm spotting.

Why would it be so different this month than other months? I'm just kind of weirded out by it.

Hi. I have been having the same problems. While on the pill, Yaz, my period has always came on schedule. And I never really have any cramps, backaches, etc. Then about a month I got my period about a week early and felt alwful, cramps, throwing up and heavy flow. Then this past weekend a week after starting my new pack I got my period again, heavy flow, weight gain and sick to my stomach.

This past tuesday I called my doctor and changed pills to Yasmin, well Ocella the generic which from reading other post on here Ocella may have been a mistake. My period has stopped and the weight is going back to normal, but I still have an awful stomach ache. I am not really sure what it is from or what to do. I have been taking antacids thinking maybe that is what it is. I feel like a combination stomach ulcer/being really hungry. Any suggestions?
