I love to give gifts, but was wondering how we can earn extra points on here? Do we just get points for posting messages? Anyone know the breakdown of this??

I think you get points for posting, for people replying to yours posts, and you can also earn interest on any points you stow away in your bank.

Other than that, I don't know much else.
