I browsed through topics and didn't see this one anywhere - sorry if I missed it!!
I seem to get bruises very easily. Often they are large, sore, and black and blue and I would think if I had hurt myself bad enough to get something that dark I would remember (I tend to be a bit clumsy and bump into things often - but that just results in little bruises). Anyone else get this?
I also wake up with sore feet often but that goes away after a few steps. I'm thinking that it may be my circulation...anyone heard of circulation problems with PCOS? I also smoke (working on quitting) so I know that can screw up your circulation but I was wondering if it could also be the PCOS??
but i would bet that you have a heel spur if your foot hurts when you get out of bed in the morning. i had this for years and ignored it until the muscle in my foot ruptured and tore in half. please see a podiatrist, they can do so much to help this condition (which btw has nothing to do with circulation!)
I get random bruises on my upper thighs and upper arm quiet alot but it doesnt hurt i rarely notice i unless im in the shower or dh/someone eles points it out to me. I did ask the Dr about it though, he sed that it was because of my blood flow as the blood is'nt pumping hard enough and therefore as more blood passes through the veins it gets jammed and causes a bruise or something as far as i can remember as this was a while ago. But as urs hurt im not sure if its the same thing!

I have this problem as well. My dr had me waiting over an hour today and my appointment was the first one. Anyhow, I was so sick of waiting that I forgot to ask him. I have bruises everywhere.
I bruise easiy when my iron is low. If you are concerned about your vulnerable bruising skin, you may want to get checked by a doctor to make sure you're getting enough vitamins B12, C, K, and folic acid. Deficiencies in these vitamins could also be causing your skin to bruise easily.
I also experienced heel pain the last few weeks. I have a heel spur. I saw a podiatrist and she gave me a shot and some stretching exercises to do. Here's a link to info: http://heelspurs.com/index.html
I hope that you feel better soon.

I bruise easily as well. It is often said to be a symptom of diabetes, so I guess pre-diabetes and insulin resistance will increase your bruising as well. I was sitting in my mom's house last week and she asked me what I did, and I looked down and there was a large black bruise. And, I looked at it for a minute and then said, I have no idea. I have read that it has to do with circulation, which could explain your foot pain. My ankles often hurt of a morning before I stretch them, but that's due to tendonitis in the side and achiles tendons, so it has nothing to do with PCOS for me.
Thanks for all the replies!! I'll check into the heel spur thing and get my doc to check all my levels of stuff. It's good to know that it's not only me!
Thanks again
