i need to find a good PCOS friendly doctor in east tn, around knoxville area.... i want to find a doctor that will help me with this so i can get on the right path to getting myself healthy and then having another baby.... please help

I am in Knoxville and I have a great doc but she is a family doc and not a specialist. She treats me but I also have no insurance so that may be why she hasn't recommended a specialist. She does everything I need, PCOS or not. Let me know if you are interested or I can ask her for a recommendation and she will tell me who is best. She also takes care of my kids and she has sent them for different things she couldn't do and they have always been super. I am in West Knox so let me know if you need one somewhere closer to where you are.
i live in lousiville.... wich is right next to west knoxville.... im currently between family doctors too, my old one quit or something, so that would be great!!! thanks for the quick repley glad to know im not the only one up all hours of the night lol

Hi Girls! I live in Morristown. I can't be of much help, but I wanted to say "Hello"!
I don't have insurance either. But I have decided if I get preggo, I am going to a different OB/GYN than I was. (I'll be nice and not name any names) The one I was going to was basically new when I started going to him. Now he has built up his patients and I don't care as much for him.
Anyway, I hope to see ya'll around!

The doc I go to is associated with UT and her name is Forsee. She is with Rocky Hill Family on Northshore. We love her and she seems to know quit a bit about PCOS.

rocky shore family... is that closer to the kroger off of pellisippie or the other end.. that is really close to my house so i will call tommorow and make me an apt... UT is great about it not takeing too long for apts too... thanks so much!!

Yeah, we are TTC. And yeah, we do go to Knoxville sometimes. Mostly to go to Chucky Cheese's.

i havent been to chuck cheese since i was old enough to play at it.... lol.... good luck on ttc.... its very frustrating at times i know, but you can do it!!! ok now that sounds cheesy.... keep us posted and everything

I have the best RE. He is the only doctor that was listed on the PCOS organization information. His name is Dr. Donesky. I highly recommend him. He has been used by two other people with PCOS that I know personally who both have babies.
Oh, and after you get pregnant, I highly recommend Dr. McCauley at St. Mary's. It's a private practice. He went well above and beyond the call of duty to save my baby from IC. I would never go anywhere else. Plus St. Mary's is a great place to have a baby. They let me have whoever I wanted in the room, including my two little sister-in-laws who were only 4 & 7 at the time.

It is closer to the other end. I live behind West town mall and if you follow that road ..Morrell..you hit Northshore and they are right there in that shopping center on the left.
I am not sure if she is taking new patients and it also depends on what insurance you have too.
I take her all the info I can gather when I go about PCOS but she always knows about it and I just love her b/c she is so nice!

I had a great OB when I was preg but he is a high risk doc. If you ever want to travelto Knox for him let me know.

I was just getting ready to post again and tell them about you and that maybe you could help. That would probobly help Vanessa more than mine since he knows tons about PCOS and mine is just a family doc.
Vanessa, try to call Lauras RE. My doc may send you that way too, I don't know b/c she treats me with meds to help with the PCOS but I don't have insurance for an RE, which most people would want to go to.
We girls should get together sometime.
