Default Easy, breezy, (creamy) Magic Bullet smoothie

I just concocted a MOST tasty treat:

1 scoop of whey protein powder (I used Ultimate Lo Carb brand. It has 20g of protein and 1 gram of carbs)

8oz (or less) of lite vanilla soy milk (I'm going to get the plain next time, since it's lower carbs)

1/4 cup of mixed frozen fruit (I bought a bag at Whole foods that has bananas, strawberries, mangos)

Throw it in the Magic Bullet, and let it fly.

Depending on how much soy milk you use you end up with a light, frothy, smooth and creamy treat!

Sounds Yummy Kat!!

Do you use any ice? Or just the frozen fruits to "chunk" it up?

No ice...

The fruit doesn't really make it chunky, but it sort of does a light freeze on the mixture so it's like a milkshake you'd buy at a fast food restaurant. (just not quite as thick)

I just got my wisdom teeth out on Monday and I've been living on smoothies. I have no appetite so I'm doubling the protein powder. Boy I could have used a magic bullet....

I don't use protein powder (can't get past the taste), but I made one the other night with a banana, frozen strawberries and frozen blueberries. I added some milk, but I could have used plain yogurt, and blitzed it up. Mmmmm.

I've seen peanut butter/banana smoothies, too. Heck, I've seen chocolate/banana smoothies. I guess the sky's the limit.

I'm using one called "Ultimate Lo Carb Whey Powder"...I can't taste it at all, and it's not gritty or 'mealy'...(I bought it at Whole Foods)

I wonder if we have that here?

Another tasty addition to a smoothie is a bit of vanilla. Especially with orange, honey and yogurt. Tastes like a creamsicle. Mmmmmm.
