Default eating protien,,just as hungry!!!!

okay i need some help..i have been eating much better since really starting the june challenge.... i eat every 2-4 hours..and with each meal a good amount of protien and the carbs are veggies or non white carbs..but i am still sooo hungry..i have been mentally tallying up calories and i am about 1500 a day..so what is going on????? am i destined to be hungry until i lose alot of weight and my insulin is better??? i am on glucophage and avanida right now and i swear i can eat some string cheese and walnuts and within an hour..my tummy is growling and get low bs feelings!!! so i eat a protien bar... 2 hours later i have to eat dinner...how on earth am i going to lose weight..and not feel low energy and like i am starving ???

i am a strong beleiver in eating many small meals a day..but its not satisfying my tummy..

is it possible that my stomach has been stretched out from overeating or geting lax and eating too many carbs???? i am at my wits end!!!! xoxo jenn thanks so much

Sometimes it's normal when you start a diet to feel hungry at first. My mom has started low carbing too, and she says she never fills full either, but again, she went from eating a lot to cutting down food portions too. Sometimes it just takes a while to adjust.

You didn't mention how much protein vs. carbs you are getting. It might be helpful to check your ratio of the two. Could be that you are having too many carbs, even if they are "good" ones. If that is the case, try eating foods that have a higher protein count and see if that helps.

I am a firm believer that it takes about 2-3 weeks for your body to adjust to the new food intake amount and then you will start to feel fuller. I am pretty much always hungary but it's definately worse when I start a plan. I also have gotten used to the empty feeling in my stomach to the point where I just ignore it. Now when its af time i do eat more food to satisfy the cravings but its the right foods so it doesn't cause problems. I say hang in there.

The first time I went on Atkins (a couple years ago) I hardly ever got hungry. I could go all day and not be hungry at all. I lost almost 50 pounds in hardly no time. My dr was unwilling to help with infertility until I lost weight. When I lost the weight she said I needed to wait because I was only 23. Unfortunatly I let that be a factor in gaining the weight back. Since then when I have started Atkins I have starved and only lost about 10 pounds before I have to eat carbs! I started over on Jan 1st and only made it to the 4th before I had to eat!! And I didn't lose any weight at all. Has anyone ever tried Meridia or anything like that? I know when I take otc diet pills I gain. Just wondering if anything stronger would work???
