Educating my Speech class on PCOS

I'm in college and I am required to take Speech 101. This class consists of 4 speeches throughout the semester, and this month, we're working on the Informative Speech. I've decided to inform my audience about PCOS. I'm going to try to cover what it is, the symptoms, a personal story, and what other diseases PCOS can lead to if not treated.

I'm nervous! I think because it's such a personal topic for me, I'm having a hard time about doing it - However there are many in the class who are nursing majors, and I thought it was important to spread awareness to everyone - just in case they come into contact with a patient who is suffering with symptoms but doctors haven't given the diagnosis yet.

Wish me luck, because I hate public speaking. lol

Hope your speech goes well! I remember those days! You might want to talk to some of the cysters who have been on SC the longest. They might be able to give you some pointers. There are several cysters that have done a lot of research.
