Smile Eeek!

Hi,
My name is Madeleine and I was diagnosed last week with PCOS. I am 24, professional, single and kind of weirded out by this whole thing.
The symptoms I have are that I havent had a period in a while, since October last year, I have some extra weight (my BMI is 24) that I cant seem to loose and I have been feeling some weird pains down there.
Im not sure if this forum is the place for me, I am an Australian you see, but I'd love to hear from anyone in a similar boat - newly diagnosed, unsure of what it means.
My doctor has suggested that I go back on the pill which will help me and said that a healthy diet is good too. Is there anything else I should be doing??

Thanks

Welcome to SC!

There are different diets that work for different women. Mine is posted here on my blog:

I hope you read up about what tests should be done and some of the things that can go along with PCOS such as insulin resistance and PCOS. Many Cysters are on Met. to help prevent diabetes.
