has anyone else experienced that after plucking areas on your face or anywhere else really *this happens on my chin and neck* that you get sometimes skin tone but oftentimes red bumps where the hair was? you then push it and some sort of stuff comes out like a zit , sorry if that was too much info!!
has anyone bipassed this, and if so how? it seems either way i go keeping the hair on my face or having these bumps all over its extremely noticeable and embarrassing, and i guess it seems like a trite thing but ive been self conscious for years about it and really just want to appear *normal* for once.
also a name for this would be rad too! the dr mentioned something the other day but my mind was wandering since it was right after the med student there mentioned hormone therapy to me.
I think you can call it "ingrown hairs", at least that's what I call it! Exfoliating helps some, but I still get the little bumps. I'll have to try the Neosporin post-pluck. The stuff that comes out of these and zits is pus, so that makes perfect sense.

I use witch hazel when I am done, It is a soothing treatment for when you are done, Its in the section where alcahol would be and its very cheap., Great for your skin. I get the bumps as well. Its just from plucking, I dont think anything will ever completey take it away but witch hazel helps.
I use Tend Skin, just a little bit on a cotton ball to dab where I've plucked. I wash with Cetaphil and then smooth on Aveeno Positively Smooth. My skin has never been nicer and I have no more yucky ingrowns.
Best,
Sarah

you're right its an infection of some sort - it has a name but now i forget...if you pluck, one way to avoid some of those is also to the hair out by tugging it out gently buy moving it side to side instead of just yanking it out...apparantley that doenst harm the skin so much and also means that your body doesnt rush to the area to defend either with extra melanin or the pus
