I was dx yesterday with EXTREMELY high liver enzymes!!!! Great, yet another thing to deal w/ now that we are TTC #1. My ACL(?) was 160! I was sent for an u/s and it showed Fatty Liver. I did a search for other threads and did come up w/ a few but they were all older. Has anyone else recently been dx with this?

My GI dr. said that he would be sending me for further studies (no idea what?) and we would talk more at my next visit Dec. 2nd. I'm scared in the mean time.

Ideas/suggestions!?! Thanks!

Hate to say this, but weight loss. Fatty liver is caused by fat growing around the organs, which is all diet-related. I have the same thing myself. A 10 or 15% weight loss can improve the situation.

Sweetheb - my husband has fatty liver. He was diagnosed a few years back. He takes Milk Thistle to help with detoxing the liver. Unfortunately there aren't any medications to take for this - weight loss is the only answer. Vitex also helps with detoxifying the liver - something I found out today. So you might want to consult with a natropath and see what he/she can do or recommend. Hope this helps. Hang in there.
